• It is the mission of j.m.Johnston & Associates, LLC to work with small to mid-sized companies in the manufacturing sector. This relationship will come in the form of introducing a client to Lean Manufacturing principles and training their staff on Lean basics, assist in identifying lean champions in the client organization, Facilitating Value Stream Mapping of core processes, and mentoring the client team as they launch Kaizen events.

As we believe a company is only as strong as its senior leadership, John Johnston as Principal Consultant, leads the way utilizing his varied background in areas of the manufacturing industry.  John worked directly in manufacturing for 30 years where he was involved in leadership to assembly, machining, welding & fabrication specialties in the geophysical exploration manufacturing industry. He then shifted his experience at this company, moving from production to materials management (supply chain management) where he served as Materials Manager with responsibility for inventory management, production forecasting, and purchasing.  John was then tapped to lead a 2 year multi-million dollar project to replace the ERP system where he led a team of 20+ programmers, iT professionals, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, accountants, and production specialists to design a new business model. He led the ERP System training then coordinated the team to ensure that the system was converted on-time and under budget for a successful start.  John next moved from his direct manufacturing role to become one of the founders of the now largest specialty staffing organization that focuses only on manufacturers.  With this background, it is believed that j.m.Johnston & Associates, LLC is best prepared to serve your needs.
